The Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association, HDMA, the commercial vehicle division of MEMA, held its annual election of officers and governors for the Heavy Duty Marketing and Sales Forum (HDMSF) during the fall board 2016 of governors meeting.
The Heavy Duty Marketing and Sales Forum (HDMSF) is a council comprised of sales and marketing executives of HDMA member companies. This council is designed to drive the direction and content of HDMA market research publications, peer networking, as well as to discuss industry trends and forecasts.
Steve Plomin was elected as the Heavy Duty Sales and Marketing Forum Board Chairman. Plomin has been a member of HDMSF since 2009, and has served on the board of HDMSF since 2014.
Plomin joined Orafol Americas in 2007 and has worked in the commercial transportation industry for over 20 years. Prior to joining ORAFOL Americas, Plomin held sales positions with Delco Remy and Grote Industries.
As manager of the Transportation Market, Plomin is responsible for leading the direction and strategy of the commercial truck & trailer, rail, agricultural, school bus, and fire/EMS business in North and South America. Plomin is currently active with TSEI (Transportation Safety Equipment Institute) TTMA (Truck & Trailer Manufacturers Association) ASABE (American Society of Agricultural Biological Engineers) NATM (National Association of Trailer Manufacturers) TMC (Technology & Maintenance Council) and NTDA (National Trailers Dealers Association).
