Volvo Trucks is said to be "winning" global market share as it continues to see an upswing in orders around the world, reports Reuters. The president and chief executive of the truck-maker Staffan Jufors told Dagens Industri in an interview "We have cooperation in the business where we inform each other about order intake and our order figures show that we are winning market share."
Mergers and acquisitions by China have surged to a likely record so far this year as the country's economy grew strongly and it continued a quest for energy and manufacturing know-how.

FAW Haima Automobile, a Chinese automaker producing passenger cars and commercial vehicles, is planning to invest in Turkey's western city of İzmir.
"Investing in new locations paves the way for development," said Qin Quanquan, general director of FAW Haima, speaking during a ceremony held by the İzmir Chamber of Commerce, or İZTO, on Wednesday. FAW Haima may provide employment for up to 5,000 people, in case of a large-scale investment, Quanquan said.

BEIJING -- Beiqi Foton Motor Co., Ltd. (SHSE: 600166), one of China's leading automakers, announced that it planned to pour additional CNY 680 million into its joint venture Beijing Foton Cummins Engine Company Limited (BFCEC) in the 2010-2012 period.
The investment will replenish the capital base for BFCEC to smooth the Euro V and Euro VI projects, according to the Beijing-based company. The venture, which has entered into a Euro V engine technology license agreement with Cummins Inc. (NYSE: CMI), is scheduled to sign another agreement for the license of Euro VI engine technology in June 2010.
