Editor’s Note: HDMA and MEMA have played an important role with a coalition of industry groups and associations in applying pressure to congress to pass highway bill legislation in a clear, bipartisan form. The nation’s infrastructure is badly in need of major levels of repairs and upgrades.
Motor vehicle parts suppliers and the entire industry must have an efficient and reliable transportation system to move parts and goods throughout the supply chain and into the stream of commerce. Passage of a comprehensive transportation bill is critical to the industry and to its continued growth. HDMA and its parent organization, MEMA Is currently urging senators to support the cloture motion to proceed to S. 1813, and congressional representatives to support the passage of H.R. 7,the Moving Ahead for Progress in the 21st Century Act (MAP-21). Please visit www.mema.org for additional information on this and other MEMA actions.
